I was taking care of my daughter in Grass Valley (Im from the Bay Area) and I always loved Ben Franklin store there. I especially love the jewelry things. Because of the pandemic I hadnt been to GV in awhile. I was excited to go there. The store has changed a lot. I wandered around and took in the changes they had made. They left out the fun stuff they used to have. I left there not buying anything- a first since 1972! I was disappointed.

This place is fun to shop at. They have a lot of different supplies for different crafts. And a serious selection of frames. I was impressed with their variety of beautiful picture frames! They also have a lot of different stickers.The last time I was at Ben Franklin I purchased a puzzle, which Im working on now. They have quite a few to choose from too.

Always love this place! They have all sorts of ideas for crafting! A little high priced though, so I only go here if Im looking for something specific. Lots of lovely beads, yarns and even fabrics!

They carry most of the common krafting supplies but not on the large scale of Michaels or Hobby Lobby but you can easily find someone to help and I dont have to drive 25+ miles and waste the better part of a day.

Best craft store in town. But were a small town. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the stock is often a lifesaver for artists and crafters. They have an extensive art supplies department, lots of paper craft supplies, a fabric and yarn department, toys, and apparently acres of decor and crafty doodads.The staff is very friendly and always helpful. I know that they work with local charities. As always with small town stores, they cannot compete with the big chains or online sources on price and selection. But I go there often, Im glad they are there, and we would miss them if they closed their doors. Shop local, people, it matters!

I will no longer support any business that demands one wear a mask in their store. There are alot of businesses locally that do not do this. The employees stand behind their bulletproof plexiglass telling customers what they have to do and to me it screams youre not welcome here so I will spend my money elsewhere. Mandates are NOT LAWS. They dont care when you tell them you have a medical condition that makes a mask intolerable.

In the Tahoe area there aren't a lot of art supply store options. For me this was an hour drive, but I was happy to find many things on my list. I think small bottles of acrylic paints are really in demand now and so they're supply was pretty spotty, but they had a good sewing supply section with lots of DMC embroidery threads, fabrics, elastic ribbon, tie dye powders and paint brushes. I would recommend this store if you are in the Grass Valley area. It's right next to highway.

BEN FRANKLIN, craft suppliesI just purchased some holiday fabric to make some Christmassy surgical masks for gifts. If I have time, I might make some extra masks for the homeless, because masks are mandatory now. You can get a $100 fine for not wearing a mask.

Ive been here a few times now. This lateat time I came to get some pictures framed, and they did an excellent job. Very patient, and like to try to help with matching frames of it looks like youre struggling. (Which I was)The store is a very nice and well stocked craft store too. They have everything for every craft you can think of. Even leathercraft which is hard to come by.They also have an attached frame room, not with just custom framing, but also every standard picture frame from large to small sizes.

Crafts! Candles! Frames! Bath bombs! Colouring pens! Fabric! My goodness do those folks have a lot of fabric choices. It, being Ben Franklin is the best arts and crafts store around.( that I know of anyway ) I get my hair bands there too. They have a hundred different patterned hair bands ranging in price from about 6.99 to about 12.99. Now that may sound expensive, but Im talking cute, durable, washable, long lasting hair bands. And they have Yankee Candles in a number of different sizes. You cant go wrong with any place thats cool enough to carry Yankee. Obviously I biased. Check out Ben Franklin for yourself, youll not leave empty handed.

I love love love Ben Franklins! The staff is so very amazing!! My granddaughters & I love crafting & they carry pretty much everything we are ever looking for. And if they dont carry it they offer to get it. I love to bake and they carry a lot of the specialty items I need. They have many lovely gifts and home decor & home decor ideas. We also take advantage of the classes they offer and their very knowledgeable staff. Ive been shopping there since I was a little girl!

This is a great store for crafts, material, frames, art supplies and so on. They have a variety of things. They offer card making classes, scrapbooking classes, sewing classes, mixed media classes, mommy and me classes even knitting/crocheting classes. I live over an hour away and Ive taken classes here. They offer a discount if you take a class. I just wish they had more supplies for cake making, candy making and cookie making.

EXCELLENT customer service, always, in every department, since I started shopping here for decades! Everyone is knowledgeable & they have great ideas. I just picked up a simple pattern for reversible grocery bags and the material was on sale. They have a lot of fabric sales. I have shopped in every craft section of the store over the years.

The gentleman in framing was wonderful and knowledgeable. He was kind and helped us find just the right frame. However the cashier, Audrey D. , was rude and denied us the teacher discount offered. I was told I had to be in the system in order to get an discounts and then stated Its the policy. She was helpful and does not know what customer service is. Not only did she lack customer service but in the end what she said was wrong and therefore she lied. Their website clearly states, Come in to our store with your valid Teachers ID or apply using the form below! This is copied directly from their website. We spent $80 on frames and all she wanted was to ring us up and leave. The GM Mr. P was apologetic but I dont feel anything will be done. It seems that instead of keeping our money local and in our county we will go to Michaels in Auburn. They offer a hassle free discounts for teachers and have always been kind, courteous, and helpful. Ben Franklins is no longer the only game in town.

Ben Franklin in Grass Valley, California has a very good selection of craft and art supplies. Each department has knowledgeable, friendly staff. The fabric department is staffed by award-winning quilters and sewers and is well-stocked. Likewise in the exceedingly well-stocked yarn department. Most in the yarn department both knit, and crochet. 2 people work in both departments and are proficient in each. The paper, bead, and fine arts departments are also terrific. There in always some cute thing for decorating, too. Ben Franklin is a community hub, too; I always see someone I know while shopping. Its also a great place to connect with new people who have common interests. Its the local go-to place for costumes, also.

So many possibilities... From what I recall, their model selection is meager tho; gundamsand warhammer 40k are where its at nowadays, especially the ones that dont require glue. To describe the atmosphere, one standard tactical art&craft plus frame shop, with adequate assistants! Theyve got a nice wood selection if you wanna build toy planes; dont know if they have toy-plane engines tho. I bought some wood to repair a chair joint.
